Author Guidelines
The International Research Journal of Innovation in Science and Technology (IRJIST) invites original, high-quality scholarly manuscripts that contribute to the advancement of knowledge in science, technology, engineering, agriculture, medical sciences, humanities, and interdisciplinary research. The journal publishes research that demonstrates originality, methodological rigor, ethical integrity, and relevance to contemporary scientific and societal challenges.
Authors are requested to carefully read and follow the guidelines below before submitting their manuscripts.
1. Types of Manuscripts Accepted
IRJIST accepts the following categories of manuscripts:
- Original Research Articles : Reports of original research findings based on experimental, theoretical, computational, or applied studies.
- Review Articles : Comprehensive and critical reviews of existing literature that provide new insights, identify research gaps, or propose future research directions.
- Short Communications : Brief reports of novel findings, preliminary results, or innovative concepts of immediate relevance.
- Interdisciplinary and Applied Research Papers : Research integrating multiple disciplines or translating scientific knowledge into practical, technological, industrial, or policy-oriented applications.
2. Manuscript Preparation
Manuscripts must be written in clear, concise, and grammatically correct academic language. Authors whose first language is not English are encouraged to seek professional language editing prior to submission.
Each manuscript must be prepared strictly using the official IRJIST Paper Template and should include the following components, as applicable:
- Article Type
- Article Title
- Author Names and Affiliations
- Corresponding Author Details
- Abstract (150–250 words)
- Keywords (up to 6)
- Introduction
- Materials and Methods / Methodology
- Results
- Discussion
- Conclusions
- Acknowledgements (if applicable)
- Funding Statement (if applicable)
- Author Contributions (if required)
- Conflict of Interest Statement (if applicable)
- Data Availability Statement (if applicable)
- Ethics Statement (if applicable)
- References
Subheadings and structured sections should be used to improve clarity and readability, exactly as shown in the template.
3. Mandatory Template
All manuscripts must be prepared using the official IRJIST Paper Template (MS Word format).
- Submissions not formatted according to the IRJIST template will not be sent for peer review.
- The template ensures uniform structure, formatting, referencing style, and compliance with indexing and publishing standards.

Authors are advised to download the template before writing and replace the sample text with their own content without altering styles, fonts, headings, or layout.
4. Formatting Requirements
Authors must adhere strictly to the formatting prescribed in the IRJIST template, including:
- File format: MS Word (.doc or .docx) only
- Font: Georgia (as specified in the template)
- Font size:
- Title: 20 pt, bold, centred
- Main text: 11–12 pt (as per section)
- Line spacing: 1.5
- Before-After Spacing: Auto
- Page numbering: Continuous
- Figures and Tables:
- Must be cited in the text (Figure 1, Table 1, etc.)
- Must include titles and captions
- Must be placed appropriately or provided as supplementary material if extensive
Authors are responsible for ensuring consistency, accuracy, and completeness of formatting.
5. References and Citations
IRJIST follows the Vancouver (ICMJE) reference style, as demonstrated in the paper template.
- References must be numbered consecutively in the order of appearance in the text.
- Citations should appear as numbers in square brackets (e.g., [1], [2–5]).
- The reference list must include:
- Author(s)
- Article title
- Journal name
- Year, volume(issue), page range or article number
- DOI (where available)
Authors are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of references.

6. Submission Process
- All manuscripts must be submitted online through the journal’s submission system
- Submissions sent via email will not be considered
- Authors must ensure that all required metadata (author details, affiliations, keywords, etc.) are correctly entered during submission
Corresponding authors are responsible for all communications with the editorial office during the submission and review process.
7. Ethical Considerations
IRJIST adheres to internationally accepted ethical standards in research and publication. Authors must ensure that:
- The submitted work is original and not under consideration elsewhere
- All sources are appropriately cited to avoid plagiarism
- Any conflict of interest (financial or non-financial) is clearly disclosed
- Research involving human participants, animals, or sensitive data has received appropriate ethical approval and complies with relevant guidelines
Plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, or unethical research practices will result in rejection or retraction.
8. Peer Review Process
All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous editorial and peer review process, which includes:
- Initial editorial screening for scope, originality, and compliance with guidelines
- Double-blind peer review by at least two independent experts
- Editorial decision based on reviewer recommendations
Editorial decisions may include:
- Acceptance
- Minor or major revision
- Rejection
The final decision rests with the Editor-in-Chief or the assigned Handling Editor.
9. Open Access Policy
IRJIST is an open-access journal. All accepted articles are published online and made freely accessible to readers worldwide without subscription or access fees. Open access supports the global dissemination of scientific knowledge and enhances the visibility and impact of published research.
9. Author Responsibilities
By submitting a manuscript to IRJIST, authors confirm that:
- The manuscript complies with these Author Guidelines
- All listed authors have approved the final version of the manuscript
- Ethical standards and publication policies of the journal have been followed
Failure to comply with these guidelines may result in delays, rejection, or withdrawal of the manuscript.
10. Publication Charges
Currently, no article processing charges (APCs) are levied unless otherwise stated on the journal website.

Before initiating submission, authors are strongly advised to review the journal’s Aims & Scope, Editorial Policies, and Publication Ethics. IRJIST publishes only high-quality, original, and ethically sound research that aligns with its multidisciplinary focus and academic standards.
Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) will be assigned to articles after ISSN allotment and completion of the journal’s official registration process.
