Publication Ethics & Malpractice Policy
IRJIST is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all reasonable measures to prevent publication malpractice. The journal adheres to ethical principles and best practices recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
All parties involved in the publication process—including authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher—are expected to comply with ethical guidelines and responsible research conduct.
Duties of Authors
Authors must ensure that:
- Submitted work is original and not under consideration elsewhere
- Proper acknowledgment of the work of others is provided
- All listed authors have made a significant contribution to the research
- Plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, and unethical image manipulation are strictly prohibited
- All conflicts of interest are clearly disclosed
- Research involving humans, animals, or sensitive data complies with relevant ethical approvals
Authors are required to notify the editor promptly if a significant error is discovered in a published article.
Duties of Editors
Editors are responsible for:
- Making publication decisions based solely on academic merit
- Ensuring a fair, unbiased, and confidential peer review process
- Maintaining the integrity of the double-blind review system
- Taking appropriate action in cases of suspected misconduct
- Avoiding conflicts of interest
Duties of Reviewers
Reviewers are expected to:
- Conduct reviews objectively and confidentially
- Declare conflicts of interest and decline review when appropriate
- Not use unpublished information for personal advantage
- Provide constructive and timely feedback
Plagiarism and Malpractice
IRJIST maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism. All submitted manuscripts are screened for similarity using standard plagiarism detection tools as part of the editorial assessment process.
Manuscripts found to contain unacceptable levels of plagiarism, including duplicate publication, self-plagiarism without proper citation, data fabrication, or falsification, will be rejected without peer review. If plagiarism or ethical violations are identified after publication, the article may be retracted with appropriate notice.
Authors are solely responsible for ensuring the originality of their work and for providing proper citation and acknowledgment of all sources.
Retraction and Correction
IRJIST reserves the right to retract articles or issue corrections in cases of ethical violations, plagiarism, or significant errors, in order to maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.
