IRJIST seeks to bridge the gap between fundamental research and real-world application by encouraging studies that translate scientific inquiry into technological solutions, policy insights, sustainable practices, and societal impact.

A central aim of IRJIST is to foster multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research ecosystems by bringing together diverse fields such as agricultural sciences, engineering, energy and power systems, computer and data sciences, artificial intelligence, materials and manufacturing, robotics and automation, marine and space sciences, earth and environmental studies, geography, and emerging technologies. In parallel, the journal recognizes the importance of social sciences, humanities, language studies, and literature in contextualizing scientific and technological advancements within historical, cultural, ethical, and societal frameworks.

IRJIST aims to encourage research that:

  • Advances innovation in science, engineering, agriculture, energy, and technology
  • Integrates computational, analytical, experimental, and applied methodologies
  • Supports sustainable development, environmental stewardship, and responsible use of resources
  • Explores emerging and disruptive technologies, design thinking, and innovation systems
  • Examines the interaction between technology, society, policy, history, language, and culture
  • Addresses complex real-world problems through cross-disciplinary and translational approaches

The journal also aims to support research-driven capacity building by providing an inclusive platform for established researchers, industry professionals, early-career scientists, and emerging scholars. Through transparent editorial practices and rigorous peer review, IRJIST seeks to uphold high academic standards while facilitating constructive scholarly dialogue.

Ultimately, the aim of IRJIST is to contribute to the development of future-ready research ecosystems that not only disseminate scholarly knowledge but also inform innovation, decision-making, and sustainable societal progress at regional, national, and global levels.
