Publication Charges & DOI Policy

The International Research Journal of Innovation in Science and Technology (IRJIST) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal committed to disseminating high-quality research in science, technology, engineering, innovation, management, humanities, social sciences, and interdisciplinary fields.

To support the editorial workflow, peer-review management, production, publication, website maintenance, indexing services, and DOI registration, IRJIST applies a modest publication charge only after a manuscript has been accepted for publication.

1. No Charges Prior to Acceptance

IRJIST does not charge any fee for:

• Manuscript submission
• Initial editorial screening
• Peer-review processing
• Revision evaluation
• Editorial consideration

Authors may submit their manuscripts free of charge. Publication charges become applicable only after a manuscript has successfully completed the peer-review process and receives final acceptance for publication.

2. Publication Charges

The following publication charges apply to accepted manuscripts:

The publication charge is applicable per manuscript irrespective of the number of authors.

3. What the Publication Charge Includes

The publication fee covers:

• Editorial processing and manuscript management
• Double-blind peer-review administration
• Technical evaluation and quality checks
• Copyediting and formatting
• Typesetting and production services
• Online publication and article hosting
• Metadata preparation
• DOI registration and Crossref metadata deposition
• Long-term article accessibility and maintenance
• Indexing and discoverability support

4. Digital Object Identifier (DOI)

Every accepted and published article is assigned a unique Digital Object Identifier (DOI) through Crossref.

The DOI provides:

• Permanent identification of the published article
• Reliable citation linking
• Enhanced discoverability
• Long-term accessibility
• Integration with international scholarly databases and indexing systems

DOI registration and metadata deposition are included within the publication charge. No separate DOI fee is required.

5. Payment Process

The publication charge becomes payable only after acceptance of the manuscript.

Step 1: Manuscript Submission

The author submits the manuscript through the IRJIST online submission system.

Step 2: Editorial Screening

The manuscript undergoes an initial editorial assessment.

Step 3: Peer Review

The manuscript is evaluated through the journal's double-blind peer-review process.

Step 4: Final Editorial Decision

The author receives the final editorial decision and acceptance notification.

Step 5: Payment Request

Upon acceptance, the Editorial Office issues an acceptance letter along with payment instructions.

Step 6: Payment by Author

The author completes the publication fee payment using the prescribed payment method.

Step 7: Submission of Payment Proof

The author submits a transaction receipt or payment screenshot to the Editorial Office for verification.

Step 8: Verification

The Editorial Office verifies the payment and confirms receipt.

Step 9: Production and Publication

The accepted manuscript enters the production stage, is assigned a DOI, and is subsequently published online.

6. Payment Methods

Publication charges may be paid through:

• UPI Transfer
• Bank Transfer (NEFT / RTGS / IMPS)
• Other approved payment methods communicated by the Editorial Office

Payment details will be provided along with the acceptance notification.

7. Refund Policy

Publication charges are non-refundable once the manuscript has entered the production, typesetting, DOI registration, or publication workflow.

No refund shall be provided after publication of the article.

8. Fee Waiver Requests

In exceptional circumstances, the Editorial Board may consider partial fee waivers or reductions for authors facing genuine financial constraints.

Requests for fee waivers must be submitted before payment and will be considered on a case-by-case basis. The decision of the Editorial Board shall be final.

9. Policy Amendments

IRJIST reserves the right to revise publication charges, payment methods, and related policies whenever necessary. Any changes shall be published on the journal website and shall apply prospectively.
